This Christmas is going to be a little different this year for many families, what have you got planned?

Christmas like many families is going to be small this year but it will still be cosy and fun. Christmas morning is all about the kids opening pressies and maybe a bucks fizz for the grown ups. As we won't be seeing family the way we normally will we are going to plan so Christmas Carols over zoom together and organise present opening so it can be done at the same time. We are hopeful we can still go on our family Christmas walk we love an evening stroll on Christmas Day to see all the lights and Boxing day morning at the beach to blow away the cobwebs.

What are your favourite Christmas traditions?

We've been creating our own traditions over the last couple of years and firm favourite is on Christmas Eve. We get our Christmas pjs on, a mince pie (for everyone except me - I'm not a fan!) and add one or two special decorations to the tree that remind of us family and friends. I'm hoping this year to get through a Christmas movie too with the kids.

Who’s gift are you most looking forward to choosing this year and what have you got planned?

I really enjoy buying gifts and thinking about what they'd like. We don't buy a lot of gifts just for close family but I like to consider them all. After the kids my brother is my favourite to buy for he has really great style and because of my background in menswear I love shopping mens brands for him. Other gifts that are definitely on my list Family Rule, (from £135) height chart for the house. Perfect for a family pressie or grandparents so they can measure the kids, Play Prompts by playHOORAY! (£12.50) for cousins and we have friends expecting a new baby so Etta Loves Muslins (from £22) are on the list too.

Who’s the trickiest to buy for and what have you got planned?

I always find my littlest tricky to buy for (20 months) she already has a lot of things that have been handed down to her and so there's not a lot she actually needs. Instead we will get her a couple of smaller things that she'll really love, like this bath book from Sisi and Seb (£8.99) and some stacking stones as she likes to build.

What’s your decorating style?

My husband will laugh at this answer as I have a very distinct style for Christmas. When we met I just had a feeling he was the one. Whenever we went on trip or a day out somewhere out of the norm I'd buy a Christmas decoration. When we moved in together several years later and we got our first tree he couldn't believe all the decorations matched. I'd always had this vision of our tree. It's red, white and gold and always on a real tree. We've been collecting decorations for 15 years and like to seek out unusual things. Since having the girls we have a second mini tree that blues and silver and much 'wilder' that the girls really go to town on. My favourite decoration I have my eye on this year is from Rosie Meringue (£5.00) this engraved cracker with our names for the wreath.

What’s the one thing that makes Christmas, Christmassy for you?

The tree. It's my favourite part and it really feels like Christmas is starting.

Quick fire round!

Breakfast first or stocking first? STOCKING!

Fave Xmas Song? FAIRYTALE OF NEW YORK!

Lunch or dinner? LUNCH!

And finally, what are you hoping to find in your stocking this year?

I'm really hoping for something sparkly ideally some sequin trousers!
