Helen and Polly are the founders of Cuddledry and creators of the
original handsfree baby bath towel. Both busy mums, Helen and
Polly came up with the idea after watching their husbands struggle
to bath their newborn babies whilst simultaneously trying to juggle a
towel underneath their chins, or spread out on the bathroom floor.
Today, the range features collections for newborns and toddlers and
Cuddledry are proud owners of over 75 international awards for
their unique and clever bath time products.
This Christmas is going to be a little different this year for many
families, what have you got planned?
The Cuddledry team are spread around the UK working remotely- and always have done- so we’re no strangers to Zoom, Whatsapp and FaceTime. This Christmas will be odd
but we’re so lucky to be living in a time where we have technology that
allows us to stay in touch. We’ve got lots of family quizzes and zoom
parties planned!
What are your favourite christmas traditions?
No matter how old the children are (hello teenage years!) they still love to hang stockings out for Father Christmas on Christmas Eve! We also have a tradition of buying a
new bauble each for the tree every year- our decorations will never make
the front page of the stylish magazines, but there’s a lovely story behind
everything we hang on the tree each year :)
Who’s gift are you most looking forward to choosing this year and
what have you got planned?
We have a cheesy tradition of Secret Santa amongst the families and the aim is to spend no more than £5. Its always great to get your thinking cap on and find something you know your
recipient will really love.
Who’s the trickiest to buy for and what have you got planned?
Now that would be telling!
What’s your decorating style?
We’re all about eco options where we can so less is more as far as we’re concerned! Cuddledry offer a gift wrapping service that takes the hassle away- and we use eco-friendly Kraft paper, with optional handwritten note too for that personal touch.
What’s the one thing that makes Christmas, Christmassy for you?
Spiced apple, taking a tour of the neighbourhood to see the lights,
wrapping up cosy and warm with a good old Christmas movie…
Quick Fire round!
Breakfast first or stocking first? Stocking always, but only after coffee!
Turkey? Yes please
Sprouts? Hmm. No thanks!
Fave Xmas Song? Last Christmas. Gotta love Wham!
Xmas Pudding? Yes, yes and yes!
And finally, what are you hoping to find in your stocking this year?
It sounds cheesy, but we’re honestly so lucky to be doing what we love with
Cuddledry; we’re so excited about where the brand is going and what
we’ve achieved. If we could bottle the feeling we get when we receive a
lovely review from a customer then that would be it. Failing that, then gin is
always lovely!
