This Christmas is going to be a little different this year for many families, what have you got planned?

If I’m honest, I’m hoping that coronavirus disappears by Christmas. I’m hoping that we will keep our rule of 6 and spend time with each set of Grandparents to keep things as normal as we can. The kids are so excited, and luckily they are young enough to not really understand what’s going on in the world. The Christmas spirit is very much alive in our house!

What are your favourite Christmas traditions?

I LOVE Christmas. I can’t hide it. If I had my way our decorations would be up in October and Christmas music blaring out of the shop at all times. But my husband makes me reign it in! We have little traditions with the boys. Each year they are allowed to pick one new Christmas decoration for the tree. We always go to my parents house and decorate their tree too. On Christmas Eve we watch a Christmas film, get snacks ready for Santa and all wear Christmas PJs

Who’s gift are you most looking forward to choosing this year and what have you got planned?

I love buying for the kids. I think it’s so important to make Christmas a magical time of year so I start planning the boys gifts very early on. I think this year, other than a million dinosaurs, Jasper will be receiving a Bundle Bed as he’s obsessed with camping and having sleepovers so this is perfect for him. For Roo, he’s still very young so I think he will get some books and maybe some little wooden cars that he can’t break!

Who’s the trickiest to buy for and what have you got planned?

My Brother! Not only is his birthday on the 28th of December, but he also buys absolutely everything he likes all the time so he’s always a nightmare. If I’m honest, I have no clue what I’m going to get him. I might make a food hamper or something for him.

What’s your decorating style?

I have two styles. In the shop it’s a bit extra! I’m popping these garlands in the windows and potentially going to cover the ceiling in them too! Whereas at home I’m a little more traditional. I’m partial to a felt decoration, especially if it’s a little mouse or penguin so I’m bound to get over excited over decorations again.

What’s the one thing that makes Christmas, Christmassy for you?

For me it’s tradition and family. I love an open fire, Christmas films. Feelings snuggly and just enjoying family time. Nothing beats a long Christmas walk with the dogs and kids.

Quick fire round! Breakfast first or stocking first? Stocking! Charades or pictionary? Pictionary of course.
